Wraptor Sheeting System
The Wraptor sheeting system was developed to enable vehicle operators to meet both there health & safety obligations whilst improving the overall efficiency of the vehicle.
The system is completely unique in both its concept and operation and is protected by 4 patents worldwide. The equipment is powered independently by an electro-hydraulic pack and controlled by a specially designed manifold block and radio remote control.
The 2 rotary actuators mounted into the canopies both front and rear drive the tarp pole through over 200 degrees of movement whilst the tarp motor allows the tarpaulin sheet to be both wrapped and unwrapped along the centre pole. This effectively opens and closes the body , also once closed 2 pilot operated hydraulic locking mechanisms ensure that the arms cannot lift open whilst the vehicle is in transit. The Wraptor fully seals the body in its closed position preventing the product inside from being blown out or being contaminated form any extern source. When covered coated products such as tar macadam the Wraptor actually helps insulation and keeps the product and a higher temperature for longer.
Operation is via a radio remote transmitter which is generally mounted within the vehicle cabin. The driver or operator only has to depress one button to open the body, a second to close the body and a third button switches the transmitter on & off.
The total cycle time to open is 6 seconds and closing takes 8 seconds.
